A local teacher and dynamic instructor who combines the poise of ballet with the zest of life. Her 2009-2010 schedule is set for the year.  We are combining both our studios to create a Ballet and Modern experience for the lover of dance.                   Petite Dancers

Ages 3 and 4
2.5 special consideration

Wednesdays 3:00 - 3:45pm

Using dance to teach on sharing, kindness and health education. An exciting class for young dancers who are learning about themselves, the world, and others.


                  Moving with Spanish (Wednesdays 3:50-4:50)

                        Ages 5, 6 and 7

 

A movement class taught in Spanish to introduce the students to moving your body, positive interaction with other children, and exploring space, time and limits through dance.  This class is perfect for a child that is learning Spanish as a second language or fluent. .The instructor will be speaking Spanish through the whole dance class. Immersion is a key feature to helping non-native children learn a new language and to support those who are advanced. This is not a language learning class, but supports understanding Spanish and Latino culture.  A creative movement class. Dynamic Food Pyramid Theme: Protein

 

                      Creative Movement (Wednesdays 4:55-5:55)
                                                             
                                  Ages 7 and up

A fun way to help young minds explore their thoughts, bodies and the world around them. We will do this through writing, voice, staging and dancing. We will focus on various topics that the teacher and students will come up with to explore. Their theme dynamic food group is grains, for a multi-level creative approach to life is a solid foundation to living. Dynamic Food Pyramid Theme: Grains

Afro Modern (Thursday 6:15-7:15)

                                    Adults and Teens

A fusion of African and Modern dance. This invigorating combination will demonstrate muscle release and muscle isolation. We’ll strengthen our core, tone our bodies, and enjoy a class of working hard while having fun. Dynamic Food Pyramid Theme: B Vitamins

If you dream of being in a dance company or wonder what it is like, this class is for you. John 15 is a dance company founded on the principles of  John 15 of the gospels. The company comprises up of several different age groups and abilities.  It is a unique opportunity to experience a dance company. We will perform at various times throughout the year at a set venue, Church of the Harvest, and possible other locations. You do not have to be a member of the church or a particular faith to be a part of this choreography and performance experience. Attendance is required. All levels, abilities and ages welcome.
