Jesus Christ of Nazareth, taught to love your neighbor as yourself, to speak up for what is right, to help the poor, and to love each other. This philosophy has encouraged several prominent people that are dead and alive to make radical changes individually, which has transformed our nation's policies, communities, family life, and social structure. Dance Chapel Hill believes that this philosophy can also be adopted by dance, and is based on the mission of Jesus Christ.
Dance is for everyone. Dance Chapel Hill will provide the supportive atmosphere, the financial affordability, and you provide the body.
The focus is to join the body, mind and spirit to gain a holistic wellness, and simply to do it in a fun way.
All adults are encouraged to be a part of this progressive studio. DCH offers classes especially designed for adults of different mental/physical abilities.
As well as classes for different populations, DCH offers several payment options and fosters a positive and supportive atmosphere regardless of socioeconomic status. We encourage promptness to class and regular attendance to get the most benefits out of the community.
DCH is here to encourage, support, and pursue the practice of love. Above all, DCH wants to actively participate in improving our local and global communities. Regardless of faith or non-faith backgrounds, if you want to dance, come. Dance is the purpose!
Dance Chapel Hill is looking to serve the community at large.
Try DCH. If you don't like it, tell me. If you do, tell your friends! :0)
We will dance. A language that is unspoken but yet says so much. We will use music that is played by tribal communities in Mali, West Africa, music that is composed by national refugees in the pacific coast of Colombia, music that is labeled 'World Music' and sold on Amazon.com, and so much more! There are no boundaries of the drums, shakeres (gourd instrument), guitars, marimbas, pianos that we will use for our body, mind, spirit, connection and knowledge.
