Joy Williams, dancer and choreographer who recently participated in the American Dance Festival (2007) as a performer with the Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble and premiered a solo modern dance work in the Student Concert, is now teaching classes.  Her training has taking her to Cuba, Canada, Mali, Equador, and Colombia with a Fulbright Scholarship. She has worked with the dance department at Duke University, and the American Dance Festival as interns, and with Chuck Davis. She is certified in Pilates and CPR/First Aid. She is currently earning a masters degree in Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her focus is to fuse dance and health education to better our communities. She has earned a B.A in Hispanic Studies and double minor in multi-cutural dance and Africana Studies from Wheaton College, Norton, Ma.
